The south India state of Karnataka boasts of a 320 km long coastline which

Famous Beaches in Karnataka
Malpe Beach
Malpe Beach, situated 6 km from Udupi is known to be one of the most
peaceful and quite beaches in Karnataka. With its immense natural beauty and
sprawling sands laced with rows of beautiful coconut groves, the beach is an
ideal place for those looking to spend some quality time in the lap of
mother nature. A short boat ride from the shores takes you to the tiny St.
Mary's island, located in the middle of the sea.
Bhatkal Beach
Among the prominent attractions of this beach is an ancient Hindu temple,
situated on a small hillock near the beach. Besides pilgrims, the beach is
also visited by
numerous tourists and holiday makers for its serene environs, exotic beauty
and plenty of opportunities for fun and relaxation.
Maravanthe Beach
A pleasant ride from Udupi up the coastal road bordered on both sides by
the Arabian Sea and Satuparnika river, takes you 50 km away to the
picturesque Maravanthe beach. The beach is a popular picnic spot for both
tourists and locals while the gentle surf provides ideal environment for an
enjoyable swimming or sea surfing session.
Karwar Beach
