About Kochi Beach
Kochi or Cochin is a beautiful city situated in the south Indian state of
Kerala. Sobriquet as Queen of the Arabian Sea, Kochi has been an important
town and the commercial hub of south India since the ancient times. Besides
the locational significance, the city with its fascinating tourist
attractions attracts thousands of tourists, making it one of the most
visited cities in Kerala.
Just a short walk from the main city and you come across a captivating
stretch of golden sands laced with beautiful coconut trees gently swaying in
the cool breeze blowing across the sea. The beach is also known as Fort
Kochi beach after the mammoth Kochi fort which stands proudly overlooking
the sea. A new year fest organised at the venue every year during the month
of December is one of the region's main attractions and is attended by
thousands of tourists and locals.

Getting There
By Air : Cochin international airport connects the city
with all the major cities in India as well as a few international
destinations. The beach can be accessed from the airport by using any of the
available means of local transport such as buses or taxis.
By Rail : Cochin is connected to other cities in India
through an extensive rail network. There are a number of superfast and
passenger trains available to Kochi from most of the major Indian cities.
Cochin has three railway stations, the Cochin Harbour Terminus, Ernakulam
Junction and Ernakulam Town.
By Road : State transport buses ply regularly on an
extensive network of state and national highways, connecting Cochin with all
the major cities in Kerala and other neighbouring states. Another option is
to hire a taxi from any of the nearby cities to reach Cochin. Three National
Highways namely NH 47, NH 17 and NH 49 pass through the state.
