Majorda beach in Goa is one of the most tranquil and peaceful places you will find around the region. The Majorda village, situated nearby, is famous for its bread baking industry. Almost all the households in Majorda village produce delicious baked breads, some with ingredients which are not found anywhere else.

Although Majorda experiences moderate climate throughout the year, it is advised to avoid the summer months of April and May as well as monsoons from June to October, for a visit. The best time to plan a vacation at the Majorda beach is from November to February when the weather remains suitable to enjoy the attractions of the beach at their very best.

Location of Majorda Beach
Majorda beach is located just 37 km from the capital of Goa, Panaji in the Salcete taluka. The nearest major town is Margao, situated just 10 km from Majorda.

Majorda Beach Attractions
The calm and clear waters are ideal for swimming, though it is advisable to stay close to the shores, especially if you are not a trained swimmer. Majorda is also an excellent place for leisure activities. You can read your favourite book while having a quite stroll on the velvety sand or enjoy a wide array of Goan food at one of the beach side snack shacks.

Situated a little distance from Majorda Beach are other tourist attractions, which include the Maede Deus Church built during the year 1588, Utorda Beach (1 km), which is famed for its beach shacks that are known for Goa's best sea food and the Betalbatim Beach, situated 5 km from Majorda.

Stay At
Majorda beach is known for some of the best accommodation options in Goa. If you want a beachside accommodation from where you can watch the pleasant games of the seawaves throughout the day, then take your pick from the Majorda Beach Resort, Sand Dunes Holiday Resort and Shangri La Retreat. A little away from the beach, the Palm View Guest House is another recommended accommodation option while there are several homestay options available in the nearby villages.

Getting There
By Air : Dabolim airport, situated close to the capital Panaji is located just 26 km from Majorda. Indian Airlines and other flight operators connect Dabolim with other major cities in India as well as a few international cities. Pre paid taxis are the best available option to reach Majorda from Dabolim while you can also hire motor bikes from any of the nearby cities.

By Rail : Margao, situated 14 km from Majorda is the nearest and most convenient railhead, which is connected to all the major Indian cities through regular trains. Buses, taxis and auto-rickshaws are easily available to reach Majorda from Margao.

By Road : Buses ply every hour from Margao bus stand to Majorda. Panaji is also connected to Majorda through well built roads. Besides, motorcycles and taxis can also be hired to reach Majorda.
